Cardiff City have completed their first signing of the January Transfer Window, as Harry Tyrer has sealed a permanent move from Everton.

Tyrer joined boyhood club Everton aged seven, progressing through the ranks, signing his first professional contract in 2020. The goalkeeper played for the First Team in pre-season, before following a further contract until 2025.
In 2022, Tyrer sealed his first loan move to Chester in the National League North. In his time at The Seals, he made forty-seven appearances, keeping eighteen clean sheets and helping Chester to a third place finish. Tyrer and Chester would lose in the Semi-Final of the playoffs.
Tyrer would be on the move again the following season, joining Chesterfield in the National League. The goalkeeper made forty-three appearances during his spell at The Spireites, keeping twelve clean sheets. The goalkeeper helped Chesterfield to a league title. After a successful campaign in the fifth tier, Tyrer signed a new Toffees deal until 2026.
After spending pre-season with Everton, Tyrer joined League One side Blackpool for the 24/25 campaign. The goalkeeper comfortably stood up to the third tier, keeping thirteen clean sheets in forty-two appearances whilst at The Tangerines.
The 24 year-old returned to Everton in the summer, earning a place on the bench for the opening day of the Premier League season. Tyrer featured in the EFL Trophy in October, and now joins Cardiff City on a three and a half year deal for an undisclosed fee.
A signing securing Cardiff's future in the goalkeeping department, good business!
