Cardiff City are in some desperate need for some depth in the winger department. A recent injury to Ollie Tanner has doubled down on that, with City now being down to bare bones in the winger area. Cardiff need pace and flair and may need to look for loans as a stop gap between now and the end of the season.
Tyrique George (18)

Tyrique George has become a prominent figure in Europa Conference League squads this season, but will no doubt look to be playing consistent first team football in the near future. George plays primarily as a left winger, but can also play as an attacking midfielder. The winger's agility, shown in an ability to shift both the ball and his body balance, helps create link-up play opportunities and assists his 1v1 attacking in general. Having a strong first touch, he can trap the ball and carry on his intended action with relative ease. His work on the ball is top-notch. The way he drops his shoulder and the way he carries the ball often encourages his direct opponent to lunge for possession, which he evades by combining this drop of the shoulder with his acceleration, pace and movement. Like that, he shows good ability to work past his direct opponent and run the channels. The 18 year-old is clever in shielding the ball from opponents and in using his body to turn defenders. His understanding of his surroundings adds to this. Like that, he is able to combine with teammates with quick passes or escape the defender and run towards the goal. George often drops deep in order to support play build-up.
Luis Palma (24)

Luis Palma has featured just five times in all competitions so far this season, so it's likely the winger will be on the move in January. Palma is primarily a winger, known for his explosive pace, exceptional dribbling skills, and ability to cut inside and score spectacular goals. His direct style of play and knack for creating goal-scoring opportunities make him a valuable asset to any team. Palma’s lightning-fast speed allows him to quickly accelerate past defenders and create scoring chances. His exceptional ball control and agility enable him to weave through tight spaces and leave defenders trailing in his wake. The Honduran possesses a clinical finishing touch, capable of scoring a variety of goals, from long-range strikes to close-range finishes. Palma’s style of play has reportedly not aligned with the tactical demands of Brendan Rodgers. His form and impact have diminished compared to his first season, which means a move in the near future is fairly realistic.
Adrian Mazilu (18)

Adrian Mazilu is one of Brighton's highly touted talents. Albion will be desperate for the Romanian to be playing games, and Cardiff could be a good fit for the winger. Mazilu has been at his most effective playing as an inverted winger on the right, cutting inside onto his stronger left foot. Watch Mazilu and you see a player who likes to run at opponents with pace. He displays good close control, can dribble out of tight spaces and cuts inside as often as possible to get a shot away or create an opportunity for a teammate. What is particularly striking about Mazilu is how strong he is. He stands at 6’1 and already knows the best way to use his frame and strength to avoid being knocked off the ball.
Summary:
Cardiff need to recruit game changers and quality in depth and taking a chance on someone could be what City need to do.
A winger that offers something a little bit different to what The Bluebirds currently have. A young fearless winger or maybe someone like Palma who needs to prove a point, just someone City can have that will offer something different.
