Cardiff City were beaten 5-2 by a clinical Plymouth Argyle this afternoon.

A disheartened Joel Colwill.
A disheartened Joel Colwill.

Player Ratings:

Nathan Trott (4) - Despite a big save early on, didn't get near a goal. Also didn't command his area particularly well. Distribution was wasteful.

Perry Ng (5.5) - Carried the ball forward well and got an assist for his efforts. Poor defensive display. Doesn't track Pepple for his second.

Gabriel Osho (5.5) - Made some key blocks but largely struggled physically. Did well enough in his duels.

Calum Chambers (4) - Except for a goal line clearance, was poor throughout. A real poor decision that left the referee no choice but to give a penalty. Struggled physically. Long distribution was poor.

Joel Bagan (5.5) - Defensively was alright and some nice balls in behind, but some wasteful balls, also.

Alex Robertson (5.5) - Just overran in the midfield left him constantly exposed. Some nice pieces on the ball, moving it well but struggled out of possession.

David Turnbull (4.5) - Anonymous. Doesn't track Pipple for his second goal either. A big reason as to why the midfield was bypassed by Plymouth. Offered little in attack.

Joel Colwill (6) - Made some good and strong challenges out of possession, and drove with the ball well. Just nothing came off for Colwill this afternoon.

Ollie Tanner (7) - Looked a constant threat again, probably should've scored. Plays a part in both goals. A positive performance, bit a quieter second half.

Chris Willock (5) - Left a lot to be desired. Didn't have that same impact in the final third, rather wasteful. Another game Willock struggled to get involved in.

Omari Kellyman (8.5) MOTM - Two great finishes for different reasons. The adjustment of the body for the first goal is seriously impressive, and the second speaks for itself, a finish from the top draw. Led the line well again, carried the ball well. Probably should've had a hattrick in the end.

Subs:

Rubin Colwill (7) - Had a positive impact from the bench. Looked after the ball well and spread play impressively.

Callum Robinson (5.5) - Quiet cameo.

Cian Ashford (6.5) - Looked lively and direct. Some nice feet on show.

Ronan Kpakio (5) - Struggled again.

Calum Scanlon (N/A) - Did add some nice energy late on.

Summary:

One to forget in a hurry, things need to be put right next week.
