Cardiff City are back on the road with a top of the table clash against Alex Revell's Stevenage.

The Opposition:

Stevenage were inconsistent for the majority of the 24/25 season, leading to a 14th placed finish.

The Boro recruited Jordan Hughton from Plymouth Argyle, Filip Marschall from Aston Villa, Bez Lubala from Wycombe Wanderers, Phoenix Patterson from Fleetwood Town, Saxon Earley from Plymouth Argyle, Jovan Malcolm from Gateshead, Chem Campbell from Wolves, Mathaues Roberts from Ipswich Town, Jasper Pattended from Wycombe Wanderers, Gassan Ahadme and Lewis Orford from West Ham, Orford has since returned to The Hammers after a slow start at Stevenage.

Ex-City striker Alex Revell is in charge at Boro. Revell puts emphasis high-energy pressing, quick transitions, and vertical attacking play, aiming to win the ball early and attack at speed. His teams typically focus on intensity, forward runs, and exploiting space behind the defence rather than slow possession build-up.

The Bluebirds:

City come into this one on the back of a 3-2 victory against Huddersfield Town. Yousef Salech opened the scoring in the first half. The visitors pegged Cardiff back just after half-time, before Salech and Isaak Davies netted in a strong second half showing. Joe Taylor netted late on for Huddersfield, but it would be no more than a consolation.

The Bluebirds' patient and possession-heavy style will see them dominate the ball in this once. Boro's biggest threat that Cardiff will be forced to deal with is the directness of Revell's side, meaning they may be forced to rely on their experienced players.

Opposition Player to Watch:

Harvey White in action.

Harvey White is one of the best midfielders League One has had to offer so far this season. The 24 year-old is a technically sharp, versatile midfielder who dictates tempo with neat passing, intelligent positioning, and dangerous set-piece delivery.

White came through the Tottenham Academy, making his senior debut in 2020. Loan moves to Portsmouth and Derby County followed, before completing a permanent switch to Stevenage in 2023. The midfielder has netted five and set up three in all competitions so far this season.
