Cardiff City have continued their unbeaten run to the season, beating Luton 1-0 with a goal from Chris Willock.

Callum Robinson had a couple of chances in the first half for City. First, Rubin Colwill found the striker unmarked in the box, but Robinson miscued his effort from close range. Robinson then almost caught out Josh Keeley from the half way line, but the keeper managed to keep the effort out.
Luton's best chance of the game came just after half hour mark, George Saville hit a powerful half volley towards goal but was denied by an incredible save by Nathan Trott. The City keeper was called into action five minutes into the second half, Mark McGuinness hit a powerful header goal bound saved at the death by Trott.
City controlled large parts of the game, and got their reward in the 69th minute, as Chris Willock opened his account for the season. The City winger won the ball on the edge of the box and beat a Luton defender before leaving McGuinness on the deck and guiding the ball past Keeley.
The Bluebirds should've doubled their lead late on, as Colwill was set through one-on-one, but the City skipper fired wide. Nonetheless, Cardiff were resolute and came away with a valuable away win.
Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (10) MOTM - Unbelievable. Three or four genuine world-class saves to keep City in it. Despite the effort in front of him being good, Trott is to thank for this win. Good with the ball at his feet but shot-stopping was of the highest calibre.
Ronan Kpakio (7.5) - Trademark Kpakio. Defended well against a good player in Alli. Got forward well and carried the ball really well.
Will Fish (8) - Another who is just improving so much each week. A vital last man challenge to keep City in it. Except for one shaky moment, looked brilliant again. Dominant in the air and excellent distribution.
Dylan Lawlor (7) - Defended really well with some key blocks. Decent enough on the ball, as well. Broke the lines nicely.
Joel Bagan (7.5) - Another solid performance from Bagan. Defended well with some nice strong tackles, got forward nicely at times as well.
Ryan Wintle (7.5) - Keeps City ticking nicely in the middle. Disrupted Luton well and passing range was really good.
David Turnbull (7) - Turnbull started really well. A shot just wide and was moving play nicely down the right, such a shame to see him go off injured.
Rubin Colwill (7.5) - Worked so hard in that middle and made things happen as he always does. Controls the ball so nicely with his quick feet. Shame Colwill couldn't get the goal he deserved at the end.
Cian Ashford (7) - Did pose a threat down the right again with his directness. Building a nice little partnership with Kpakio. Did his defensive work well, again.
Chris Willock (8.5) - Hands down Willock's best game at Cardiff. Was crucial in most chances City had. That goal in brilliant as well, nice close control and top finish. Someone check on McGuinness though...
Callum Robinson (6) - Really should've scored, just looks to be lacking confidence at the moment. General play was good though, link up play etc. Worked hard as usual.
Subs:
Joel Colwill (7) - Went about and did his business nicely. Won some important free-kicks. Engine in the midfield as usual.
Calum Chambers (6) - Didn't notice a great deal of Chambers in his twenty minutes cameo. Did ping a nice ball out to Ashford. Quite tidy on the ball.
Yousef Salech (6) - Saw very little of the action.
Isaak Davies (N/A)
Summary:
A huge statement victory! Cardiff looked a league above at times in that game. And a huge thank you to Nathan Trott.
