As the season starts drawing to a close, now feels as good as time as any to check in on how Cardiff's current players out on loan are fairing at their respective clubs. Eli King - Stevenage

Eli King has been a revelation at Stevenage in recent months, becoming a regular in the team. King found himself struggling for minutes earlier in the campaign, with former City striker and current Boro boss stating, "He is getting better and anyone that comes from a different club, no matter how far away that is, it does take time and it can be lonely." King has clearly reacted well to this feedback, not playing in just one game since his return from injury in January, picking up two assists in that time.

Joel Colwill - Exeter City

It's been a different experience for Joel Colwill out on loan this time round. The 20 year-old has started five games since his move to The Grecians in January. Exeter have utilised the Welshman's versatility in his spell so far, with Colwill having played in midfield, left wing back and on the left of a front three. It's been a challenging step up, but perfect for Colwill at this stage.

Ryotaro Tsunoda - KV Kortrijk

Tsunoda has fitted straight back in at De Kerels. Similar to Tsunoda's first stint in Belgium, he has been used on the left side of a back three, but also on the left side of a pair as well. With Kortrijk close to facing the drop again, naturally they're under pressure in games, which has meant Tsunoda has been forced to defend more and perhaps have less of the ball, something the Japanese defender has stood up to thus far, with some impressive defensive stats since his arrival.

Kieron Evans - Newport County

Evans has recently returned from an injury which saw him side-lined for just over a month. Since his move to The Exiles the 23 year-old has been nurtured into a number six, with the task of dictating the game from deep. Evans has featured thirty-two times for Newport, contributing with five goal involvements in all competitions.

Ryan Wintle - Millwall

The midfielder's loan spell has taken a turn for the worse the new year. Wintle opened his scoring for The Lions on the fourth of January, and has played just forty-eight minutes of football since, having been an unused sub in the previous seven games. The 27 year-old has started just three Championship games all season, and has failed to make his desired impact at The Den.

Kion Etete - Bolton Wanderers

Another who's struggled is Kion Etete. Twenty-three minutes of football, gave away a penalty and Bolton lost 1-0. Etete then got injured in the warm-up the following game, and has been absent ever since. The striker recently made a return in an in-house friendly, with hopes the 23 year-old could be the fire power late on in the season to fire The Whites back to the Championship.

Michael Reindrof - Bristol Rovers

After a decent start at The Gas, Reindorf has been absent for over a month, with Rovers boss Iñigo Calderón having some harsh words for the teenager, "I think he has had a bad spell [with] performance for me in the sessions. Of course you don't see the sessions. This week I think he was better, but still it is like you are in the queue because when the players they come to your place and you lose your place in the squad, you have to wait a little bit. But I think he was a bit better this week." Bristol Rovers sit firmly in a relegation battle ahead of the run-in.

Baylin Johnson - Maidstone United

Baylin Johnson has made six appearances for The Stones in January, but has been absent for just over a month with a reason not yet being stated. Johnson has failed to contribute to a goal just yet, as Maidstone continue their fight for play-offs.

Joe Thomas - Yate Town

Thomas has impressed in his spell so far, having played eight games. The young shot-stopper has been absent in The Bluebells' last four games, with Yate adding another goalkeeper on loan. Yate sit top and six points clear in the Southern Football League, Division One South.

Jacob Dennis - Oldham Athletic

Jake Dennis has made one appearance since his move to the National League. Dennis has played second choice to Tom Donaghy, who is highly rated by Latics supporters.
