Cardiff City have completed the signing of Manchester United defender Will Fish.
Will Fish joined Manchester United aged seven, and progressed through all the age groups and became a highly thought of prospect. Ole Gunnar Solskjaer handed Fish his first team debut aged 17 in May 2021, in a a win against Wolves.
In the summer of 2021, Fish joined National League side Stockport on loan. Fish made just two appearances in the first half of the season, leading to a recall from The Red Devils in January.
During 2021, Fish would make appearances for England's U18 side as well as The Three Lions' U19 side.
Fish was on the move again in the summer of 2022, as the defender joined Hibernian on loan. The England youth international became a regular at Hibs, making 21 appearances during the 22/23 season, netting three times.
After spending Pre Season with Manchester United, Fish re-joined Hibernian on loan for the 23/24 season. Fish established himself as one of the first names on the team sheet, making forty-five appearances during his second spell at Hibs, netting once.
Fish now makes a permanent move away from his boyhood club, joining The Bluebirds on a four year deal.
An interesting deal for sure, seems similar to the deal we did for McGuinness three years ago, hopefully we get the same quality of player!
