FIRST WIN FOR CITY

Cardiff City sealed their first win of the season as they beat Charlton Athletic 3-1 this afternoon.

Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (7) - Makes a key save at 2-1 to allow City to go on to win it. Distribution was varied, but overall a decent showing. Commanded things well.
Perry Ng (7) - A decent showing. Campbell beat him a few times, but he generally limited him. Going forward, did well and came close. Defensively solid.
Krystian Bielik (7.5) - Dominant display. Excellent on the ball with an impressive passing range on show. Defensively solid, doing well in the air.
Gabriel Osho (7.5) - Up against the tricky Leaburn, he held his own and competed well. Really stood up physically. Strong on the ball, also.
Joel Bagan (7) - Another solid performance. Unlucky for the goal, a split second off catching Campbell offside. Decent in and out of possession.
Alex Robertson (8.5) - Ran the show in the middle. Dominant in and out of possession. Impressive passing range on show, and creative from deep. Growing into the role.
Joel Colwill (8) - Grew into the game. Relentless in and out of possession, and relieved pressure when needed for City. Shone in his individual battles, winning the ball high up the pitch on several occasions.
Jack Moylan (9) MOTM - Very, very good. Excellent movement and finish for the opener, then a world-class strike for the second goal. Relentless in his play, progressed the ball well, as well as working really hard defensively. Brilliant.
Ollie Tanner (7.5) - A productive afternoon for Tanner. Got in behind well, direct and effective, and got an assist for his hard work. Worked hard out of possession.
Chris Willock (6) - Quiet afternoon. Some nice link-up play with Bagan, but generally kept quiet. Struggled to get into any sort of rhythm.
Yousef Salech (8.5) - Back to his best. A very well-weighted pass for Moylan's first. An excellent finish to end his mini drought. Worked hard throughout.
Subs:
David Turnbull (7.5) - Another very good cameo. Very good in and out of possession, especially in tight spaces. Kept Cardiff ticking.
Cian Ashford (6.5) - Tidy cameo. Worked hard in and out of possession.
Calum Scanlon (N/A)
Dylan Lawlor (N/A) - Buzzing to see Lawlor back!
Summary:
Huge to get that first win over the line, and plenty of quality on show!
