DRAMATIC LATE LEVELLER FOR THE BLUEBIRDS

A late Yousef Salech equaliser earned City a point away at Stockport County.

Stockport had two great chances around the half hour mark. Benony Andresson broke away in behind but his effort fired against the post. Andresson then had a header from point-blank range kept out by Nathan Trott. Ollie Norwood eventually put the hosts in front from the penalty spot.
The second half offered very little from either side. Yousef Salech had a goal disallowed after an offside in the build-up. Just as the game looked to have gotten away from Cardiff, a inch-perfect cross from Chris Willock found the head of Salech who dispatched his effort at the near post to earn a dramatic point.
Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (7.5) - Made a great save in the first half. Commanded his area well and distribution was decent enough.
Perry Ng (5.5) - Clumsy for the penalty. Looked rusty at times, was okay in spells defensively.
Will Fish (7.5) MOTM - Just trademark Fish, really. Solid and reliable at the back, no nonsense and reliable for City.
Calum Chambers (5.5) - Had his struggled aerially, again. No nonsense at the back and tidied things up at times, but did struggle at times with the physicality of Wooton.
Joel Bagan (7) - Fairly decent altogether. Defended well enough and strong in his individual battles, a couple of misplaced passes, but other than that, was decent.
Ryan Wintle (6.5) - Same story as Bagan in many ways. Not given a great deal by the referee, but a typical decent tidy and decent display from Wintle.
Joel Colwill (6) - A quieter afternoon for Joel Colwill, didn't see a great deal of the action. Tidy enough in and out of possession.
Rubin Colwill (5.5) - Struggled to get a grip of the game. Led to overdoing it at times, looked sloppy at times. Did well out of possession.
Cian Ashford (5) - Really struggled. Outside of one decent cross, offered little to nothing, getting almost bullied at times. One or two nice pieces defensively.
Chris Willock (7.5) - An excellent cross and a real livewire in the final third for Cardiff, particularly in the second half. Decent defensively.
Yousef Salech (7) - Scoring all the time! Had little to no sniff all game, but did what the best strikers do, one chance, one goal. Huge goal for Yousef and City!
Subs:
David Turnbull (6.5) - Another tidy performance from Turnbull. Flawless on the ball, bar a poor set-piece.
Isaak Davies (5.5) - Did at pace in behind, but almost had the same struggled as Ashford.
Dylan Lawlor (7) - Just another assured performance from Lawlor. Read the game well and really good on the ball.
Ronan Kpakio (7) - Same as Lawlor, really.
Callum Robinson (6) - Struggled to really get involved. Tidy enough.
Summary:
Smash and GRAB!
