Cardiff City played out a 1-1 draw with fourth place Stockport County this afternoon.

Joel Colwill celebrating.
Joel Colwill celebrating.

Player Ratings:

Nathan Trott (6.5) - Unfortunate for the goal after making a good save. Varied on the ball, with some nice and precise plays but some wayward.

Perry Ng (7) - Read the game well and defended fairly well. Could track Wootton better for the goal and be more aware. Got forward well, also.

Gabriel Osho (7.5) - Anther impressive showing. Defensively sound with some big blocks. On the ball, assured and calm.

Calum Chambers (6.5) - Quite a quiet afternoon, really. Tidy on the ball and didn't put a foot wrong defensively.

Joel Bagan (6.5) - Similar to Chambers, really. Put a dangerous cross or two into the box with no one to meet them.

Ryan Wintle (7.5) - Anchored the back line well. Tidy on the ball and probably should've had an assist. Energetic out of possession. Positive showing.

Alex Robertson (5) - Just lacked concentration at times, leading to some sloppy play. A few poor set piece deliveries and offered little out of possession. Were some typical nice things on the ball.

Joel Colwill (7.5) MOTM - A well-taken goal and generally a positive point for Cardiff throughout. Carried the ball well and was busy out of possession as usual.

Ollie Tanner (7) - An excellent ball to find Colwill for the goal. Had Pye's number down the right, beating him on several occasion, just that last action needs working on. Worked hard out of possession.

Cian Ashford (5.5) - Not comfortable off the left. Some nice tidy pieces, but largely out of the game and wasteful.

Yousef Salech (6) - Missed a great chance early on, but generally had a positive start. Glad to hear Yousef is doing well!

Subs:

Callum Robinson (6.5) - Link-up play was good. Had a good chance but denied by a good save. Largely had a positive impact on the game, bringing energy.

Omari Kellyman (5) - Looked rusty. Never really got in the game with some sloppy play.

Chris Willock (6) - Made a big chance for Robbo, and was his typical tricky self. A poor ball late on through to Davies felt a significant moment fluffed.

Isaak Davies (N/A)

Summary:

Another point in the right direction against good opposition, however hard not to feel frustrated with just the one point.
