Cardiff City beat Jack Wilshere’s Luton Town 3-1 this afternoon.

Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (7) - Unfortunate for the penalty after going the right way. Made some key touches to stop dangerous Luton crosses. Distribution was varied.
Perry Ng (8.5) - What a strike. Topped off what was a superb Ng showing. Defensively kept the tricky Kodua and Jones silent. Another to add to the collection of exceptional performances this season.
Gabriel Osho (8) - Good in the first half and exceptional in the second. A real good battle in the air with Cole. Showed calmness and quality on the ball. Made some decent challenges, also. Another promising performance from Osho!
Calum Chambers (7.5) - Commanded and controlled Luton’s forward players. Gave Al-Hamadi nothing when he came on. Assured on the ball, also.
Joel Bagan (7) - Unfortunate for the penalty, but otherwise a calm showing. Carried the ball forward well, as well as come good passes in behind. Made some decent chances. Defensively sound.
Alex Robertson (9) MOTM - Excellent again in that deeper role. Just looked like he had all the time in the world. Exceptional out of possession, and strong in possession, dictating play. Gets a deserved assist, also.
David Turnbull (8) - A finish of real quality for the goal, and Turnbull showed plenty of quality today. Sharp on the ball. Defensively did his job, also.
Joel Colwill (9) - Unplayable in the first half. An exceptional assist and a really well-taken goal. Out of possession brilliant, again. Showed real quality throughout.
Ollie Tanner (7.5) - Started the game really dangerous, getting in behind fairly regularly. Caused Johnson plenty of problems. Defensively did well, also. Another assist to the tally.
Chris Willock (7) - In and out of the game, but largely did well. Carried the ball well and some nice flicks. Came close to scoring.
Omari Kellyman (6.5) - Not really in the game. Worked hard out of possession. Probably should’ve scored.
Subs:
Ronan Kpakio (6) - An up and down cameo. Some sloppy pieces on the ball, but made up for with some nice defensive pieces.
Rubin Colwill (6.5) - Buzzing to see Colwill back. An energetic cameo, getting in some good positions. Probably should’ve had an assist.
Callum Robinson (6) - Tidy on the ball, but probably should’ve scored from close range late on.
Cian Ashford (6) - A quiet cameo.
Dylan Lawlor (N/A) - Nice to see Lawlor back in action, also.
Summary:
A controlling and impressive win against a decent side.
