Cardiff City are back on the road in a crucial game at Home Park against Plymouth Argyle.

The Opposition:
Plymouth Argyle had a poor start at the start of the season under Wayne Rooney. The 39 year-old was dismissed in December with The Pilgrims bottom of the table. Miron Muslić was chosen as Rooney's successor. The Austrian has had a steady impact at Argyle, with the club having just recorded a famous victory over Liverpool in the FA Cup.
One of the main principles of Miron Muslić’s game model is intense high pressing. This is one of the foundations on which Muslić’s style of play is built. Muslić does not look to hold the majority of possession in a match, nor do they often try to build out from the back. They often look to play directly from the goalkeeper, and they play for second balls inside the opposition’s half.
Plymouth sit 23rd ahead of this one, and could move out of the relegation zone with a victory.
The Bluebirds:
Cardiff come into this one on the back of a Derby Day draw against Bristol City. The Robins took the lead on the hour mark, before City pegged them back in the closing stages of the game, with Yousef Salech tapping home from close range.
City will likely dominate the ball, similar to the first time these sides met this season. Cardiff are going to have to move Plymouth around with quick and purposeful passing. Most importantly, The Bluebirds will have to be on it defensively, and avoid conceding any silly goals as they’ve become prone to in recent weeks.
Team News:
Cardiff City - Isaak Davies and Joe Ralls back available. Callum Robinson a doubt. Alex Robertson, Calum Chambers, Jesper Daland, David Turnbull, Ollie Tanner and Ronan Kpakio remain out.
Plymouth Argyle - Joe Edwards back available for the hosts. Brendan Galloway and Ryan Hardie remain out.
Preferred XI:
GK - Ethan Horvath
RB - Perry Ng
RCB - Dimitrios Goutas
LCB - Joel Bagan
LB - Callum O'Dowda
RDM - Andy Rinomhota
LDM - Sivert Mannsverk
CAM - Rubin Colwill
RW - Will Alves
LW - Cian Ashford
ST - Yousef Salech
Prediction:
Plymouth Argyle 1-1 Cardiff City
This is a difficult one to predict. If City can be on their A game, then they can turn over Plymouth, it’s just whether Cardiff turn up or not. A point would be respectable given Plymouth tend to better at home.
