The Bluebirds cruised to a 3-0 victory over Rotherham United this afternoon.

City were heavily in control in the early stages of the game and had a handful of chances. The ball broke to Yousef Salech in the box but he was denied by Cameron Dawson. A well-worked corner ended with an opportunity for David Turnbull on the edge of the box, but the midfielder fired just wide.
The Bluebirds would get their goal just before the interval. Turnbull delivered a cross and there was Salech to open his account for the season with a back post header.
Cardiff started the second half on fire, and Cian Ashford double the lead ten minutes into the half. Turnbull rolled the ball back to the winger who picked out the top left corner.
Rubin Colwill sealed it on the hour mark adding a third. Ashford was key again, winning the ball high up the pitch, before finding Salech who rolled the ball across goal leaving a tap-in for the City skipper.
Rotherham's only chance came late on, as substitute Marvin Kaleta fired from the edge of the box, but was denied by a good save by City keeper Nathan Trott.
That wrapped up a perfect afternoon at the CCS!
Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (7.5) - A top save at the end to keep consecutive league clean sheets. Distribution was solid enough as well.
Ronan Kpakio (8) - Continues to improve game on game. Holds onto the ball so well and gets forward really well. Defending was immaculate as well. Denied what seemed a blatant penalty, also.
Will Fish (8) - Did an excellent job at keeping Hugill quiet, dominating in the air. Magnificent on the ball as well, picking out Tanner on several occasions. Commanded really well.
Dylan Lawlor (8) - Same story as his centre-back partner, really. Stood up to the physical side of the game, and was brilliant on the ball.
Dakarai Mafico (5.5) - Started really positively, played some nice balls through to Tanner. Left himself vulnerable after the yellow, and a shame to see him substituted in the first half. Still more to come from young Dak!
Ryan Wintle (8.5) - Dictated the game really well. Also read the game so well, stopping Rotherham breakaways. Calm and assured in the midfield, and the revival continues.
David Turnbull (9) MOTM - Hands down, Turnbull's best performance in a City shirt. Two real nice assists, which could've been more. Held onto the ball nicely, and passing was spot on. Set piece delivery was brilliant, as well. Refreshing performance.
Rubin Colwill (8) - Another goal to add to the tally, and a goal he deserved due his shear endeavour. Some nice pieces as usual, worked well with Tanner out wide. Carried the ball well.
Cian Ashford (8) - Had a quiet first half, but came to life in the second half. An incredible finish for his goal, and basically makes the Colwill goal through pure effort. A great energetic performance from Ash.
Ollie Tanner (7) - Did get in some promising positions and put some nice crosses into the mix. Also did what was required defensively.
Yousef Salech (8) - He's back baby! Not the prettiest goal but they all count, and a huge relief he's off the mark. Also a great ball across to Colwill.
Subs:
Joel Bagan (7) - Another who did what was required of him defensively and offensively. Tidied things down the left.
Joel Colwill (6.5) - Added his usual energy late on, got in some good areas offensively.
Callum Robinson (7) - Tidy cameo and made a couple of chances when he got on.
Isaak Davies (6) - Quite a quiet cameo.
Calum Chambers (N/A)
Summary:
Perfect. Just perfect.
