BLUEBIRDS SEEK CHANGE OF FORTUNE AT HOME PARK

Cardiff City seek to get back on track as they travel to Home Park as they face Plymouth Argyle.

The Opposition:

Since the sides last met, there has been many changes at The Pilgrims. Plymouth confirmed Ian Foster as Steven Schumacher's successor. Key men Finn Azaz, Luke Cundle and Kaine Kesler-Hayden have all departed. One loss in seven sees Plymouth eight point clear of the relegation table and starting to look up the table. Supporters will know from the two sides meeting a few weeks back, that Morgan Whittaker is the dangerman and is one that will have an eye on him.

Ian Foster plays attacking and expansive football. Foster has a history of getting the most out of exciting forwards, that already proven as Whittaker has two goals in his two games under the new boss. Foster has used a 4-2-3-1 and 3-4-2-1 in his two games in charge so far. The Pilgrims had just 38% possession last time out, proving Foster isn't necessarily a possession-based coach, the only passing stat Plymouth beat Huddersfield on in the two's meeting last weekend, was accurate long balls, which possibly tells you the way Plymouth may play against The Bluebirds.

Heading into this one, Plymouth sit 18th in the Championship table.

The Bluebirds:

It was a frustrating one last time out for The Bluebirds as they were sweeped aside by Leeds. Supporters have voiced their concerns with the players but also some with Erol Bulut. Cardiff head to Home Park with a point to prove with a difficult run ahead of them.

Cardiff weren't the best last time these two sides met, but still got a point, which proves they're very much there for the taking. Cardiff need to turn from defence to attack much quicker if they want to return to their attacking form from the start of the season. I could see Cardiff having a balanced amount of possession, but they will have to show more quality than in recent weeks if they wish to gain three points.

Team News:

Cardiff City - Cardiff have only fifteen players available for this weekend. Confirmed absentees are Aaron Ramsey, Callum O'Dowda, Callum Robinson and Joe Ralls. Rubin Colwill is touch and go.

Plymouth Agyle - Lewis Gibson is 50/50. Cardiff comes too early for Saxon Earley. Mike Cooper out.

Preferred XI:

GK - Jak Alnwick

RB - Perry Ng

RCB - Dimitrios Goutas

LCB - Mark McGuinness

LB - Jamilu Collins

RDM - Andy Rinomhota

LDM - Ryan Wintle

CAM - Karlan Grant

RW - Josh Bowler

LW - Ollie Tanner

ST - Yakou Meite

Score Prediction:

Plymouth Argyle 1-2 Cardiff City

For some reason I just have a feeling. Cardiff need to change their current fortunes, and I think Home Park could be the place to do it. It will be far from easy, but I think Cardiff may just edge out a win.
