BLUEBIRDS HOST INFORM BAGGIES

Cardiff City welcome 5th place West Brom at the CCS, as The Bluebirds look to make it back-to-back wins after winning against Preston on the weekend.

The Opposition:

West Brom ended last season just three points off the play-off places last season. This summer they added Pipa from Ludogortes Razgrad, Josh Maja from Bordeaux and Jeremy Sarmiento from West Brom.

Corberan likes his team to play outnumbering. When playing with a high defensive line, Corberan is willing to take the risk of covering the back sectors at the expense of getting the ball back as quickly as possible. Coupled with the high defensive line goes aggressive pressing with a lot of forward involvement.

The Bluebirds:

Cardiff showed their fight and team spirit as they secured all three points against Preston with a 99th minute winner from Ike Ugbo.

The Bluebirds are likely to concede possession to the visitors and try and do their work on the counter-attack, trying to utilise the likes of Josh Bowler and former Baggie Callum Robinson.

Team News:

Cardiff City - Karlan Grant is unavailable to play against his parent club. Jamilu Collins is suspended after picking up five yellow cards. Mark McGuinness' availability is yet unknown. Ramsey and O'Dowda out.

West Brom - Nathaniel Chalobah is a doubt for The Baggies. Daryl Dike, Adam Reach and Martin Kelly are all out.

Preferred XI:

GK - Alex Runarsson

RB - Perry Ng

RCB - Dimitrios Goutas

LCB - Jonathan Panzo

LB - Joe Ralls

RDM - Manolis Siopis

LDM - Ryan Wintle

CAM - Callum Robinson

RW - Josh Bowler

LW - Yakou Meite

ST - Ike Ugbo

Prediction:

Cardiff City 1-1 West Brom

I could see both sides sharing the points. Both are solid sides defensively and also in attack and don't think either will be able to find a breakthrough.
