Player Ratings:
Ethan Horvath (8) - Made two excellent saves. Was strong in the air and seemed the calmest man on the pitch. On the ball, looked very good. USA! USA! USA!
Perry Ng (8) - The man of the moment. Strong in his duels. Took his goal like a striker. Highlight of the game was him planting Sykes onto the deck. Was up for it from the first whislte.
Dimitrios Goutas (7) - Was very solid and had Wells in his back pocket. On the ball looked good and linked up well with both Wilson-Esbrand and Phillips. Made some key blocks.
Nat Phillips (7) - They say don't fall in love with loan players... well I have, again. Phillips oozed his usual quality and was solid. Picked out some really good passes. Made some key clearances and blocks as well.
Josh Wilson-Esbrand (5) - Was quite frustrating. Wilson-Esbrand just seemed reluctant to go forward, which is a surprise giving that's what he's good at. Made up for it by doing the ayatollah whilst celebrating Ng's goal.
Manolis Siopis (8) - Ran the show. Energy was unmatched, he simply just understood the occasion. Got his body in the way and made some key tackles. Decent on the ball as well.
Joe Ralls (7) - Picked up where he left off on the weekend. An energetic and encouraging performance from The Bluebirds skipper. Good defensively and decent offensively.
David Turnbull (8) MOTM - We saw today why Turnbull was bought in January. APerfect deliveries from set pieces. On the ball he oozed quality and picked out some great passes. Glided past players at times. Linked up really well with Colwill and Bowler.
Josh Bowler (6) - Bowler was ok. Got in some decent areas and helped Ng defensively, unfortuantely didn't do anything to shout about really.
Rubin Colwill (7) - Grew into the game alongside Turnbull. Got in some good areas. Worked hard offensively and defensively.
Kion Etete (7) - Carried on at the level he's been in the last two games. Held up the ball really well. Brought wingers into play with some nice flicks. Hopefully his injury isn't too serious as he's clearly playing with confidence.
Subs:
Yakou Meite (7) - Worked hard when he came on and worked the Bristol City back line. Was just a pain in the backside, with his power. Got in some decent areas.
Ryan Wintle (7) - Sured things up when he came on. Was decent in possession, and worked hard out of possession.
Ollie Tanner (7) - Got in some good positions through his own work. Worked his hardest. A great response following comments earlier in the week.
Jamilu Collins (6) - Was solid when he came on.
Callum O'Dowda (N/A) - Happy to see COD back in action.
Summary:
A brilliant and deserved derby day victory. Should bring much more confidence in a team that is building week on week. New signings are settling well.
