Cardiff City retained their place at the top of League One with a 2-1 win over Stevenage.

Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (6) - Beaten by an excellent finish that he can't do much about. Some nice pieces with the ball.
Perry Ng (6.5) - Defensively made easy work of Lubala, had plenty of the ball in the final third with mixed results. Did well enough. Allows Patterson too much room for the goal.
Will Fish (7) - Had a handful of shaky moments, but generally did well. Some of his great traditional switches of play on show. Defensively did well enough, also.
Calum Chambers (7.5) - Really good with the ball, even when under pressure. Defended well, also.
Joel Bagan (7.5) - Defensively solid and got forward well. Strong in his individual battles. Worked well with Chris Willock.
Ryan Wintle (7) - Moved the ball well and tidy in possession. Not a great deal to report out of possession. Another decent showing.
David Turnbull (8) MOTM - On the ball, exceptional. In tight spaces showed his quality, and spread the play really well. Out of possession worked hard, also. Tidy and impressive.
Callum Robinson (8) - A well-taken goal, just a trademark Callum Robinson goal. Link-up play was good with his fine feet. A real promising showing on an important evening for Robbo.
Isaak Davies (6.5) - Direct and looked lively, just struggled to make much of the possession he had. Worked hard out of possession.
Chris Willock (8) - A fine showing, and getting a deserved assist. Impressive feet and showed a good burst of pace and directness. Tidy performance.
Yousef Salech (7) - Wasn't in the game for large spells, and missed some glorious chances. However, poacher's instinct prevails and gets the winner.
Summary:
Ronan Kpakio (7.5) - One half of the two that changed the game for Cardiff. Typical forward-thinking and energetic cameo. Good in and out of possession. Worked well with Kellyman.
Omari Kellyman (8) - The other half of the game changers. Coming on well as the season goes on. Direct, fine footwork and retained the ball excellently. Deserved something for his hard work. Worked with Kpakio.
Ollie Tanner (N/A)
Alex Robertson (N/A)
Joel Colwill (N/A)
Summary:
Another important three points on the board, and some real good football played in large spells of the game! Brilliant end to 2025.
