Cardiff City have been held by Wycombe Wanderers this afternoon, as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw.

Player Ratings:

Nathan Trott (5) - Doesn't cover himself in glory with the goal, reacting so late. Distribution was decent. Had little to do.

Ronan Kpakio (4) - At fault for the goal with a horrific air-kick. Really struggled afterwards against the physical Onyedinma. Wasteful and sloppy with the ball.

Dylan Lawlor (8) - Bailed Cardiff out on a handful of occasions. Impressive on the ball and gave a good go against Onyedinma. Carried the ball well, and did well enough in the air.

Gabriel Osho (7.5) - Made some key blocks for Cardiff. Grew into the game, and showed positive signs on the ball, also carried the ball well.

Perry Ng (7.5) - Adapted well on the left. Assured on the ball and did his defensive duties well. Got City forward fairly well.

Ryan Wintle (8.5) MOTM - An exceptional delivery for the goal, and really grew into the game. Broke lines really well and swept up well for City. Made a handful of other chances, also. Impressive showing.

Alex Robertson (6.5) - Had a positive start to the game, got City flowing and he was at the heart of it. Yellow card derails his game, seeing him off in the 28th minute. Unfortunate as Cardiff stopped playing after his departure.

Joel Colwill (6) - Has the chance to seal the game in the first half, and completely gets it wrong. Slow with the ball. Worked hard out of possession.

Omari Kellyman (5) - Worked hard out of possession, but left a lot to be desired with the ball. Some real poor deliveries, and Wycombe just had Kellyman's number.

Chris Willock (7.5) - An excellent finish from such a tight angle. Delivery was poor throughout. Defensively did well.

Yousef Salech (6) - How Salech hasn't come away with a goal or an assist is absolutely beyond me. Makes two glorious chances with headers back across goal. Could do better with a chance or two he got.

Subs:

David Turnbull (6) - Big part in why Cardiff lost their momentum, as he slowed things down massively. Grew into the game, but largely offered little.

Callum Robinson (4) - Has to score one if not two. The second is a non-negotiable for a striker. Disappointing cameo.

Cian Ashford (6.5) - Sharp cameo. Got in behind well.

Ollie Tanner (4.5) - Left a lot to be desired. Harsh as he's been out so long, but it was evident at times. More to come, just one of those afternoons. Looked a yard behind the game.

Calum Chambers (7) - Assured things at the back and came closest to a winner with a long-range effort.

Summary:

A game that was absolutely there for the taking, and can't help but feel it's a slight wasted opportunity.
