Cardiff City were beaten 2-0 by a ruthless Wycombe Wanderers this evening.

Player Ratings:

Nathan Trott (4.5) - Didn't command his area at all, flapping at a couple of balls. Feel he could do more for at least one goal. Distribution wasteful again.

Perry Ng (6.5) - Could possibly question his positioning for the first goal. In general, got forward well and defended decently.

Dylan Lawlor (7) - Some impressive passing on display, and carried the ball well. Got in and amongst the physical battle. Made a key block in the first half.

Gabriel Osho (4.5) - Never ever ever a red card. Had a steady up until that game, some wayward passes, but defended well. Punished by an ignominious referee.

Joel Bagan (6.5) - Read the game fairly well, with some key interceptions. Some nice balls in behind to Ashford, also. Looked to tire before his substitution.

Ryan Wintle (7) - Probably at fault for the first, but not a centre-half so it can be forgiven. Had been playing well in midfield. Drove forward well with the ball and spread play well. Swept up tidily in the midfield.

Alex Robertson (6.5) - Carried the ball well and produced some nice passes. Just failed to have a massive and consistent impact on the game.

Rubin Colwill (6) - Some top skilful pieces on display, particularly in the first half, just guilty too regularly of overplaying. Wasteful in transition, also.

Ollie Tanner (6) - One of those nights where things didn't come off for Tanner. Linked up well with Colwill, and made a handful of promising moments.

Cian Ashford (7.5) MOTM - The only livewire in attack who looked like he could hurt Wycombe, and came very close to doing so. Direct and effective, played some nice balls in behind to Colwill and Ng. Unfortunate not to come away with a goal contribution.

Omari Kellyman (5) - Wasteful. Had a lot of space to hurt Wycombe and did little to nothing. Also missed City's best chance of the evening.

Subs:

David Turnbull (6) - Quiet cameo.

Joel Colwill (6.5) - Added energy and made some nice positive forward runs late on.

Chris Willock (6.5) - Added a bit of threat late on. Direct cameo.

Calum Scanlon (7) - Another positive substitute appearance. Got forward well, putting in a dangerous cross. Defensively sound.

Callum Robinson (5) - Had two real good chances, but failed to make it count.

Summary:

A game ruined by the man in the middle. Cardiff punished for that by a pretty poor side.
