SECOND ROUND EXIT FOR CARDIFF

Cardiff have exited the Carabao Cup in the Second Round following a 2-1 defeat to Norwich City.

Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (6) - Made an excellent close-range save. Not sure what he can do about either goal. Distribution wasn't great.
Perry Ng (5.5) - Still doesn't look like himself; granted, Ng is playing out of position. On the ball, kept it simple. Quiet defensively.
Noah Anyadike (6.5) - Given the context of the occasion, did fairly well. Strong in the air and impressive recovery pace.
Joel Bagan (6.5) - Think Bagan was blatantly fouled for the second goal. Effective both going forward and defensively. Decent on the ball.
Ronan Kpakio (6) - Slight improvement on Saturday. Did slightly better defensively, although still got caught once or twice. Fairly good on the ball, got forward well. He just needs to compose himself at times; he's doing the right things.
Alex Robertson (7.5) - Excellent ball through for Salech's goal. Ran the game really, and dictated it well. Looked quite comfortable at centre-half as well. Impressive passing range on show.
David Turnbull (7) - Gave a good account of himself. Came close to a long-ranger or two. Tidy as usual in possession, spreading play well. Out of possession, did well enough.
Joel Colwill (7) - Had absolute lumps kicked out of him, but powered through and was effective. Strong out of possession and made some great forward runs.
Isaak Davies (5) - Never in the game. When involved, lacked the necessary quality. Do feel Davies was a victim of a lack of quality in service.
Chris Willock (5) - Looked energetic in the first half, quite the opposite in the second half. Final delivery lacked any quality, even when he'd done the difficult bit at times. Didn't offer a great deal out of possession.
Callum Robinson (6.5) - Feel Robbo ran the line quite well. Neat in possession, linking things up quite well. Absolutely no service to work off.
Subs:
Rubin Colwill (7.5) MOTM - Changes the game again for Cardiff. From the six, dictated things. Carried and spread the ball very well, and worked hard out of possession.
Jack Moylan (7.5) - Usual energetic and effective self. Brought that quality touch the game had been missing. Denied a blatant penalty. Carried the ball excellently.
Yousef Salech (7.5) - Another one. An excellent finish, as well. A right handful in the closing stages.
Cian Ashford (6) - Had the same lack of service as Davies down that side. Worked well with Joel Colwill. Did look to get forward. Keep Ashford central for me.
Robert Tankiewicz (N/A)
Summary:
No shame going out like that. Still crying out for some new bodies to help these lads out.
