LATE HEARTBREAK AT BOLTON
Cardiff City were stunned at Bolton as Thierry Gale netted a 90th-minute winner to extend Cardiff's winless return to the Championship.
Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (6) - Can't do a great deal about the goal. Made a handful of routine saves, and distribution was quick and decent.
Perry Ng (5.5) - Has to do more to get back and stop the cross for the goal. Sloppy in possession, but generally decent defensively.
Krystian Bielik (7) - Saw a lot of the action and was strong in possession. Defensively astute, dominating physically and aerially. Came close to a goal in the first half from close range, and could get out quicker to Bair for the goal.
Gabriel Osho (8) MOTM - Made several key recovery challenges. Strong both on the floor and in the air. Apart from a few wayward long balls, he was fairly strong in possession.
Joel Bagan (5.5) - Has no idea Gale is behind him for the goal. Generally in and out of possession, quite neat; some poor set-piece deliveries.
Alex Robertson (7) - Out of possession, excelled for City, making some key recovery challenges. In possession, neat enough. Did fluff a huge error by Bazunu, the only error the 'keeper seemed to make all game.
Joel Colwill (6) - Kept largely quiet. Energetic as usual, and was decent out of possession.
Jack Moylan (7.5) - Cardiff's only real threat going forward. Lively and direct, and played some nice balls in behind, as well as being largely neat in possession. Worked hard in and out of possession.
Ollie Tanner (4) - Becoming an all too familiar story. Feel he has to do more for the goal; beaten by Conway far too easily. Just several lazy actions in key areas. Conway had Tanner's number from the opening minutes and cruised through the game.
Chris Willock (4.5) - Wasn't much better than Tanner, but did set up the biggest chance for Cardiff this afternoon. Similar to Tanner, too many lazy actions in key areas; for example, being caught offside three times in the final third.
Yousef Salech (5.5) - Whilst he should score the header, Bazunu denies him brilliantly, but Salech should always score from that close. Link-up play was decent, and he did well in the air.
Subs:
David Turnbull (7) - Carried on his own personal good form. Some nice line-breaking passes in behind. Typical tidy performance.
Cian Ashford (7) - Added plenty of energy and came close to a goal with a powerful strike. Did well in and out of possession.
Callum Robinson (6.5) - Linked up play nicely and was denied by a brilliant save late on. Decent cameo.
