Cardiff City beat Hull City this evening in a huge win for Omer Riza's men.

Cardiff had the only real sniffs in the first half. First Callum Robinson, after some good work between him and Sivert Mannsverk had a low shot held by Ivor Pandur. Yousef Salech then had an effort pushed wide from inside the box.
Robinson gave The Bluebirds the lead just after half-time. Chris Willock's cross was met by Salech who headed into the air, with the ball falling kindly for Robinson who volleyed home his twelfth goal of the season.
The visitors had a chance late on as Alfie Jones headed straight at Ethan Horvath from close range, the American claimed with ease.
City confirmed a monumental three points.
Player Ratings:
Ethan Horvath (7) - Had little to do, but when called into action was good. Distribution was slow but some good balls to find the fullbacks.
Andy Rinomhota (6) - Had a decent first half but struggled in the second. Fluffed his lines in some good attacking areas.
Will Fish (8) MOTM - Might still be out there heading the ball. Super performance from the defender. Excellent in the air and read the game very well.
Perry Ng (8) - Very similar to Fish. No-nonsense defensive showing. Went close with a free kick as well.
Callum O'Dowda (7.5) - El Capitano. Really came into his own in the second half. Typical O'Dowda performance, up and down and solid as ever.
Calum Chambers (7) - Broke up play fairly well. Some nice distribution as well. Nice to see an important player back out there.
Sivert Mannsverk (6.5) - A quieter evening for Mannsverk, but when involved did his job well enough. Defended well.
Cian Ashford (8) - A positive performance from Ashford. Up and down really well, got in some dangerous positions and put the ball in good areas. Battled hard.
Callum Robinson (7.5) - Another to add to an impressive tally, well-taken goal as well.
Chris Willock (6.5) - Started well but faded a little bit. Close control and tight positions was good.
Yousef Salech (7) - Battled extremely hard and won a lot. Link up was nice and pinpoint, as well.
Subs:
Isaak Davies (6.5) - Saw very little action when he was on. Chased after everything though.
Alex Robertson (6) - Was left exposed fairly often but held his own.
Joel Bagan (6.5) - Steady cameo. Got involved.
Anwar El Ghazi (6) - Difficult game to come on in, struggled.
Rubin Colwill (N/A)
Summary:
A huge win to make that gap bigger at the bottom. Ugly but needed.
