Cardiff City beat AFC Wimbledon this evening, thanks to a goal from Isaak Davies late on.

There was very little to report in the first half. Yousef Salech headed wide for City, and Ollie Tanner fired an effort just wide of the goal.
The game sprung into life in the closing quarter of an hour. Chris Willock and Callum Robinson having close range efforts denied by last ditch blocks from Dons' defenders. Robinson should've netted, but his free header from six yards was fired over.
Just a minute later, Isaak Davies sent the away end into ecstasy as he latched onto a miss-hit effort by David Turnbull, and beat Nathan Bishop to give City a well deserved away win!
Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (8.5) MOTM - Wins it for Cardiff at the end, what an incredible save. Another Cruyff turn as well this evening, commanded his area really well and another brilliant showing from City's number thirteen.
Ronan Kpakio (7.5) - What's becoming trademark Kpakio at this rate. Another mature and astute defensive showing, and got forward really well. Sky is the limit for the 18 year-old.
Will Fish (7.5) - Another defensively strong performance from Fish. Dominant in the air and good enough on the ball. Real leader at the back.
Dylan Lawlor (7.5) - Just keeps improving game on game. Stood up to the physical task again and strong on the ball. Unfortunate booking.
Joel Bagan (8) - That last ditch tackle is excellent, and it came at a cost. An astute defensive showing and got in some dangerous offensive areas. Had a lot of the ball and was tidy with it.
Ryan Wintle (7) - Continued to shadow the defence well. Moved the ball side to side nicely to keep attacks alive. Decent showing.
Joel Colwill (7.5) - Another energetic Joel Colwill performance, put his body on the line and denied a blatant penalty or two. Caused real issues due to his tenacity. A real asset. Carried the ball brilliantly.
Rubin Colwill (7) - Carried the ball into the final third really well, and worked well down the left. Apart from a wasteful shot or two, was decent. Made such an important headed clearance in the dying stages of the game.
Cian Ashford (7) - Did look a threat when he had the ball, just didn't have much of it. Direct and caused a couple of problems. Unlucky not to get a goal.
Ollie Tanner (7) - Was causing issues down the left, and came close. Worked well with Bagan and Colwill, also did his defensive work really well. Hopefully the injury isn't anything major. Speedy recovery, Ollie!
Yousef Salech (6) - Was kept awfully quiet. Had a half chance or two but other than that a quiet evening with little supply. Held the ball up well enough.
Subs:
Chris Willock (6.5) - Did work hard, and did his defensive work well. Was a threat at times in the final third, and has a part to play in the goal. Just needs to be more consistent with that final ball. Improvement on his last league game, however.
David Turnbull (7.5) - Just on fire at the moment. A fortunate assist, but added what he usually does when he came on, a calm head. Tidy cameo.
Callum Robinson (5) - Quite frustrating. Looked shy of confidence, two golden opportunities, just unfortunate not to score. Struggled to hold the ball up against a physical side. It will come.
Isaak Davies (7.5) - The man of the moment! Just that strikers instinct in the box and it's won it for City. Nice poacher's work.
Calum Chambers (7) - A brilliant cross to find Robinson. Clamed things down the right where City were in a bit of bother. A good and calming cameo.

How about that? Such a pleasing way to win on the road. Top away day, attentions have to turn now to a paramount game on the weekend!
