Cardiff City beat Mansfield Town in a convincing 3-0 win this afternoon.

Cardiff dominated from the opening. Yousef Salech met a Ryan Wintle cross but headed wide from close range. David Turnbull tried his luck from distance twice, testing Liam Roberts but unable to break the deadlock.
Will Fish inevitably gave City the lead before the interval. The defender met a Joel Bagan corner and guided his header in at the near post.
Salech eventually got on the goal sheet in the second half. Dylan Lawlor found Ronan Kpakio in behind, who crossed perfectly for the Cardiff striker to nod home from close range.
Cian Ashford wrapped things up for The Bluebirds late on. Alex Robertson slotted the winger through, with Ashford's initial effort being saved, before tapping home on the goal line to secure all three points.
Player Ratings:
Nathan Trott (7.5) - Called into action once and stepped up. Other than a loose ball or two, distribution was solid. Vital to keep first clean sheet since September.
Perry Ng (7.5) - Trademark Ng, really. Defended really well and did well when called upon. Got forward well, working well with Ashford.
Will Fish (8) - Another goal for Pysgod! Defended really well, also. Solid in his battles and good on the ball.
Dylan Lawlor (9) - Excellent! Getting better each week. Reliable as ever in defence and carried the ball brilliantly. Incredible pass for the second goal. Unlucky not to get his own as well. Passing range impressive, also.
Joel Bagan (8) - Defended well and a threat going forward, rewarded with an assist. Link-up with Salech caused problems.
Ryan Wintle (9) MOTM - One of Wintle's best displays in a Cardiff City shirt. Just the shear energy and quality out of possession. Passing was incredible, and really should be coming away with two or three assists. Almost toying with Mansfield in the closing stages. Close to flawless in and out of possession. Brilliant showing!
David Turnbull (8.5) - The David Turnbull we all know is in there. Tidy and progressive on the ball and came close to a worldie or two. Put in some real dangerous deliveries, also. Out of possession did well, also.
Callum Robinson (6.5) - Struggled to get into the game, but created a lot of space centrally for the team, so deserves credit for that. Tidy in possession, particularly in tight spaces.
Cian Ashford (9) - That Cian Ashford is the one fans have grown to love, it's just the consistency we crave. Out of possession, unbelievable. Shielded the ball excellently and stood up to the physical task. Got forward really well, and gets a deserved goal the end.
Yousef Salech (7) - A nicely taken goal, but wow Salech really could have come away with four or five goals, some real poor misses at times. Dominant in the air and physically. Link-up play was decent, also.
Subs:
Joel Colwill (7) - Added energy from the bench. Tidy on the ball, also.
Ronan Kpakio (7.5) - What a cross for the second goal. Another great showing from Kpakio!
Chris Willock (6) - Failed to really get into the game, some sloppy pieces.
Alex Robertson (7) - A tidy and impressice cameo. Great ball for the third goal.
Omari Kellyman (N/A)
Summary:
A thoroughly enjoyable and satisfying watch. Arguably the best City have looked at the CCS this season. Huge ahead of a congested spell ahead.
