The Opposition:
After a strong return to the Championship, The Rams have struggled over the festive period and now find themselves in a bit of a relegation battle ahead of a difficult run of fixtures.
Warne's known for his robust style of play. Despite not playing the most attractive brand, Warne has typically enjoyed success as a manager. Warne's sides like to build up quick by getting the ball out wide, and utilising the quality of someone like Mendez-Laing.
The Rams sit 20th ahead of this one, and can move 18th with a win.
The Bluebirds:
City come into this one on the back of a valiant point away against Millwall. The Bluebirds were down by two after twenty minutes, before Chris Willock netted just before half-time, Yousef Salech netted in the last seconds to save a point.
The Bluebirds will likely control the possession, and will have to show similar intesity as they did in the closing stages against Millwall. They will also have to be less open and be more vigorous out of possession.
Team News:
Cardiff City - Riza expects Alex Robertson, Callum O'Dowda and Ollie Tanner to be back available. Aaron Ramsey, David Turnbull, Isaak Davies, Roko Simic and Ronan Kpakio out.
Derby County - Eiran Cashin, Ryan Nyambe and David Ozoh back in contention,. Dajuane Brown, Kane Wilson, Curtis Nelson and Nat Phillips out for the visitors.
