Cardiff City remain on the road as they travel to face play-off chasing Norwich City.
The Opposition:
After a poor start to the season, a win in the Welsh capital in November proved a turning point for David Wagner and Norwich. The Canaries have lost just four time since mid November and have made a big push for the play-offs. Wagner added just one signing in January as he welcomed forward Syden van Hooijdonk from Bologna.
Norwich typically lineup with a 4-2-3-1 with The Canaries creativity typically coming from the two deep lying playmakers. Wagner utilises both holding midfielders to switch from defence to attack. Norwich's wingers typically make inside runs, allowing the fullbacks room on the overlap. Since Wagner's arrival, Norwich have typically pressed high and tried to catch out the oppositions defence on the ball.
Norwich sit in seventh place and just one point off the play-offs.
The Bluebirds:
Cardiff come off the back of a defeat in midweek against West Brom. The Bluebirds fell behind after just thirty seconds, before a winner was added late on from The Baggies. Cardiff will seek to change recent fortunes with what would be an impressive in at Carrow Road.
In the two's last meeting Cardiff found success breaking down the Norwich line. This meant a slower tempo but coming alive when The Bluebirds found themselves in behind. Cardiff will look to repricate their attacking performance against Norwich when the last two met, but will have to sure up defensively to stand any chance of three points.
Cardiff sit 14th heading into this one.
Cardiff City - Yakou Meite is out after picking up an injury against West Brom. Ramsey is ready to start. Alnwick, McGuinness, O'Dowda and Robinson remain out.
Norwich City - Onel Hernandez available. A late call will be made on Josh Sargent. Rowe and Duffy out.
Preferred XI:
GK - Ethan Horvath
RWB - Mahlon Romeo
RCB - Perry Ng
CB - Dimitrios Goutas
LCB - Nat Phillips
LWB - Josh Wilson-Esbrand
LCM - David Turnbull
RCM - Manolis Siopis
CAM - Aaron Ramsey
ST - Rubin Colwill
ST - Karlan Grant
Prediction:
Norwich City 2-0 Cardiff City
Cardiff don't typically do well at Carrow Road, and Norwich are playing well at the moment. I see it being a routine victory for the hosts.
