Cardiff City are looking to return to winning ways as Watford come to visit the CCS.

The Opposition:
Watford brought in French manager Valerian Ismael this summer after a mediocre season last time out. Ismael has brought in Mileta Rajovic from Kalmar FF, Jamal Lewis from Newcastle, Giorgi Chakvetadze from Gent, Jake Livermore from West Brom, Tom Ince from Reading, Matheus Martins from Udinese and Rhys Healey from Toulouse.
Valerien Ismael is attempting to craft a style of play which delivers what sounds to be obvious, but isn't always readily achievable – having a lot of ball, getting plenty of goal attempts and restricting the opposition to the minimum.
Watford come into this fixture winless in four and sit 21st in the table.
The Bluebirds:
Cardiff come into this fixture hoping to bounce back from a midweek defeat against Middlesbrough. All the travelling showed as a tired Bluebirds side were convincingly beaten.
The Bluebirds will likely do most of their work on the counterattack as they'll have to soak up Watford possession.
After a defeat in midweek, The Bluebirds now lie 9th in the Championship table.
Team News:
Cardiff City - It's not looking the best on The Bluebirds injury front. Ramsey and O'Dowda are out with long term injuries. Etete and Meite have been ruled out for a month. In more positive news, Bowler and JC returned to training ahead of this fixture.
Watford - Ryan Andrews is suspended after picking a red card last time out. Ken Sema missing for the visitors. A late decision to be made on Matheus Martins.
Preferred XI:
GK - Jak Alnwick
LB - Jamilu Collins
LCB - Mark McGuinness
RCB - Dimitrios Goutas
RB - Perry Ng
RDM - Manolis Siopis
LDM - Joe Ralls
CAM - Rubin Colwill
RW - Ollie Tanner
LW - Callum Robinson
ST - Ike Ugbo
Prediction:
Cardiff City 1-0 Watford
I could see The Bluebirds just edging out Watford. I think Watford will come into this fixture low on confidence and Cardiff have to make the most of that.
