BLUEBIRDS HELD AT OAKWELL

Cardiff City have been held 1-1 by Barnsley at Oakwell this evening.

Player Ratings:

Nathan Trott (6) - Not a great deal he can do for the goal. Distribution was better than recent weeks.

Perry Ng (6) - Quieter performance. Some nice plays to Tanner in behind, and some nice forward runs. Defensively suspect at times, also some sloppy touches.

Dylan Lawlor (5) - A handful of suspect moments defensively that almost cost Cardiff. Some nice mazy runs and decent distribution.

Calum Chambers (5) - Too slow. Dithered on the ball and struggled defensively.

Calum Scanlon (6) - Got forward really well, working well with Willock. Suspect at times defensively, particularly the goal.

Ryan Wintle (7) MOTM - Looked to get City forward, driving with the ball from deep. Spread play nicely. Quiet out of possession.

Alex Robertson (6.5) - Played an exceptional ball for the opener. Generally had a quiet game both in and out of possession.

Rubin Colwill (7) - A well-taken goal, which was probably the most quality the game saw. Some nice spreads of play. Outside of that struggled, looked to tire quickly.

Ollie Tanner (7) - A great ball for the goal, and probably should’ve had one for himself. Came to life in the second half, with some dangerous deliveries, that were unfortunately met by good defending.

Chris Willock (5) - Same story as recent week, really. Saw plenty of the action but failed to do anything with it. Wasteful.

Omari Kellyman (6) - No service, but tidy when given his limited possession. Turned well on the ball.

Subs:

Joel Bagan (7) - Played well when he came on. Defensively sound and got forward well.

Cian Ashford (6) - Looked lively but struggled to make any real impact.

David Turnbull (6.5) - Tidy cameo. Retained possession well.

Callum Robinson (5.5) - Struggled to get into the game.
