Cardiff City were held by Sheffield Wednesday this afternoon.

Cardiff dominated the early stages of the game and found the opener after twenty minutes. Yousef Salech found Will Alves who drove forward before finding Isaak Davies, who slotted past Pierce Charles into the back of the net.
The Bluebirds were made to pay for not being more clinical on the hour mark, as a Barry Bannan corner was met by Michael Ihiekwe who nodded past Ethan Horvath to even the tie.
Neither side poised a real threat late on, as they were forced to share the points.
Player Ratings:
Ethan Horvath (6) - Generally had very little to do. A couple of routine catches. Was okay on the ball.
Perry Ng (7) - A generally decent performance, both offensively and defensively. Sent one great ball into Salech who headed wide.
Will Fish (7) - A no-nonsense performance and controlled things in the air. Decent on the ball and went close with an effort from the edge of the box.
Joel Bagan (7) - Same as Fish, really. Stood up to physical side of the game. Some nice passes from deep.
Callum O'Dowda (7.5) - Was brilliant offensively, got forward well and set piece delivery was dangerous. Held his own defensively.
Calum Chambers (7.5) - Was great at reacting to the second ball, read the game very well and broke up play well as usual. Varied on the ball.
Sivert Mannsverk (7) - City needed a dog in midfield, and he stoop up to that. Composed on the ball as well.
Isaak Davies (8) - An well-taken and deserved goal. Was a consistent nuisance for Wednesday, and it led to their left-back being replaced at half-time. Carried and held on to the ball very well.
Cian Ashford (8) MOTM - Carried and held onto the ball magnificently, almost glued to Ashford's foot at times. Broke the lines well and another that Sheffield Wednesday really struggled to deal with.
Will Alves (7.5) - A great assist, picked the right pass. Wednesday didn't half an answer to Alves' pace and trickery. Quietened down a bit in the second half.
Yousef Salech (7) - Typical Salech performance, all that was missing was a goal. One a great deal in the air and linked things up well. Played a role in the goal.
Subs:
Anwar El Ghazi (6) - Failed to really make an impact. A couple of tidy pieces.
David Turnbull (6) - Same as above.
Ollie Tanner (N/A)
Rubin Colwill (N/A)
Yakou Meite (N/A)
Summary:
Cardiff needed more. Games like this is why City could well go down, dominate for so long but still didn't look like winning.
