Cardiff City have made it six games without a win after a 2-0 defeat against Preston North End this evening.

Jak Alnwick was called into action twice early on to deny former Bluebird Josh Bowler. Bowler had early joy cutting in on his left foot, but Alnwick was equal to both efforts.
Yakou Meite went close twice as well. A ball fell loose in the box and Meite forced a low save from Freddie Woodman, before having an effort cleared off the line a few minutes later.
Preston opened the scoring early in the second half. Frøkjær-Jensen deflected effort beat Alnwick in the City goal.
The Lilywhites doubled their lead late on, as Osmajic rounded Alnwick to tap in to an empty net to secure all three points for the visitors.
Player Ratings:
Jak Alnwick (6) - Goals conceded weren't spectacular, but were more errors of those in front of Alnwick. A couple of decent early saves. Distribution was okay.
Perry Ng (6.5) - Defensively sound throughout the match. Got forward well, but needed better quality on the final ball.
Dimitrios Goutas (4) - Horror show for the second goal. Hadn't been involved a great deal outside of that.
Calum Chambers (4) - The most unfortunate footballer in the world at the moment. Needs to sort his feet out quicker. Pretty slow performance outside of that.
Joel Bagan (5) - Struggled to deal with Bowler early on. Did grow into the game a little before his substitution.
Andy Rinomhota (6.5) - Kept City ticking well in the middle. Solid and energetic showing out of possession. Noticed the work he was doing when replaced.
Alex Robertson (6.5) - Another neat and tidy performance. Did the dirty work as well at times. Set piece delivery needs improving.
Yakou Meite (5) - Too easily taken off the ball. Got in some great areas, and should've come away with at least one goal.
Rubin Colwill (5) - A handful of nice pieces, but a lot of hard work that amounted to nothing, as the final touch lacked quality.
Callum O'Dowda (7) MOTM - Showed energy and desire to get Cardiff back in the game. Made City's biggest chance arguably. Shows the qualities of someone I want to be my captain.
Callum Robinson (5) - Most of Robbo's work came from deep, leaving us with no vocal point in attack. Failed to get any real sniff of goal.
Subs:
Joe Ralls (5) - Slowed the game down for Cardiff. Always seemed a strange substitution.
Anwar El Ghazi (6.5) - Looked far more confident off the right. Got in some good areas and looked a threat.
Chris Willock (6.5) - Same as El Ghazi (but off the left).
Michael Reindorf (6) - Worked off scraps, but dealt comfortably.
Summary:
Painful, really really painful.
