Cardiff City moved out of the relegation zone this evening as they drew 1-1 with Stoke City.

Player Ratings:

Nathan Trott (5.5) - Not a clue what Trott is waiting for regarding the goal. Has to command his area far better than that. Distribution was decent. Did make a big stop one-on-one at 1-0.

Perry Ng (7) - Grew into the game. Defensively astute and worked well with Tanner down the right. Carried the ball well.

Krystian Bielik (8) - After Bielik grew into the game, he was great. Carried the ball very well, strong in and out of possession, particularly in the air. His passing range was decent again.

Gabriel Osho (8) - Another pleasing Osho performance. Strong defensively, and his recovery pace was again effective. Particularly strong in possession, carrying it well and with some nice long balls.

Joel Bagan (5) - Doesn't cover himself in glory with the goal. In hindsight, should've just kicked it into Row Z. Worked well with Willock and almost got a goal for himself. Not the best deliveries into the box.

Alex Robertson (8.5) MOTM - Best Robertson has looked in that role this season. Read the game excellently, top on the ball as well. Allowed Cardiff to keep ticking through his own quality. Set-piece delivery was better.

Joel Colwill (8) - An unlike Joel Colwill goal, but they all count. Came close to a second as well. Worked hard as usual, carrying the ball well. Won the usual free kicks he does. Positive first Championship start!

Jack Moylan (6.5) - Some nice little link-ups, and came close to a goal right at the death. Carried the ball well and worked hard as usual.

Ollie Tanner (8) - The best Tanner has played all season. Had the beating of both the fullbacks he faced, and put some lovely deliveries in the box that weren't met. Worked hard out of possession. Definitely should've scored, however.

Chris Willock (8) - A great delivery for the goal, and looked a threat throughout. Assured and tidy in possession. Dangerous deliveries out wide, and worked hard out of possession.

Yousef Salech (4.5) - Had two glorious chances and fluffed his lines. Just having one of those phases at the moment; shame, as he'd worked hard and been generally decent up until those moments. Just lacking that confidence at the moment. As obvious as it sounds, he's just crying out to get a goal no matter how it goes in.

Sub:

Cian Ashford (N/A)

Summary:

Looked so much better, particularly in the second half. Absolutely paramount that Cardiff build on that performance.
