Cardiff City face a fifth defeat in six as they lose 1-0 to Derby County.

Anwar El Ghazi in a duel with Nathaniel Mendez-Laing.

Colwill fired an effort towards the Derby goal, but was denied by The Rams keeper after ten minutes.

Derby would go onto take the lead through Goudmijn, as the midfielder finished routinly in the City box.

The Bluebirds came close as Ng and Goutas had efforts denied by Zetterstrom in the Derby goal.

Alnwick was called into action just before the end of the half, as Mendez-Laing found space on the edge of the back but was denied by the City shot-stopper.

The City keeper made another impressive save in the second half, to deny a powerful effort from Jackson.

After some neat build up play, Colwill found Tanner in the box, however the City 32 fired over from inside the box.

Nyambe almost headed into his own net following a cross that took a last minute nick off a City player.

The Rams should've had two, however Former Bluebird Adams somehow missed depsite an open goal.

Player Ratings:

Jak Alnwick (6) - Made a couple of good and important saves. Got lucky towards the end, but on a whole was decent on his return to the side.

Perry Ng (5) - Needs to do better to stop the cross for the goal. Struggled against Mendez-Laing.

Calum Chambers (5.5) - Shouldn't really get pulled out of position the way he did for the goal. Was ok outside of that.

Dimitrios Goutas (6) - Another that was just ok. Decent in the air and unlucky not to score.

Joel Bagan (5) - Feel Bagan needs to be stronger for the goal. Goudmijn gets a free hit at goal without any real pressure. Was ok after that.

Manolis Siopis (5.5) - Just a negative performance more than anything, playing side wards or back even when we were losing. Decent defensively.

Joe Ralls (5.5) - Questionable decision making at times, and was dragged out of position fairly easy. Looks like the skipper will be out injured, again.

Rubin Colwill (6.5) - Looked lively early on and had a decent chance. Tried to get forward and create things. Quietened down in the second half.

Anwar El Ghazi (5.5) - Just not a great deal to shout about. Showed one or two glimpses but very little outside of that.

Callum O'Dowda (6) - Pretty quiet and ineffective in the first half. Improved when Willock came on and he moved back to left-back, showed a bit of positivity and got forward.

Wilfried Kanga (5.5) - Kanga has played six times, and I could say the same about all of them. Little service but didn't do a great deal off the ball in terms of pressing.

Subs:

Will Fish (7) MOTM - Dominated in the air, and on the whole a solid debut.

Chris Willock (6.5) - Positive when he came on and worked well with O'Dowda.

Ollie Tanner (6) - A mixed performance. Got in some great areas, however some sloppy play.

Alex Robertson (6) - Similar to Tanner, really. Did some nice bits but let himself down with other decisions.

Cian Ashford (6) - Added a bit of pace and positivity, but no real threat.

Conclusion:

An extremely difficult one to take, and will likely cast the end of Erol Bulut's tenure.
